| 2A is a private owned young and innovative die-casting foundry oriented and specialized in the development and production of components for the automotive and domotic industries.
2A, within the automotive industry, is mainly specialised in the production of the pieces for the truck engines, working for many major companies, in Italy, France, Germany, Sweden and USA.
2A is a complete die-casting partner: we can produce pieces from few grams up to the biggest produced, machine them, paint them, test them and assemble them and we did develop them together with our Customers. Our suppliers and our assembling department enable us to deliver not only die-casted pieces, but also completed and assembled functions. The presence of the ??Politecnico?? and of the biggest European automotive factory network gives "2A" the availability of the competencies necessary to answer to most of the requests of its Customers
2A is proposing the following casting technologies:
series parts: die-casting, ??glue-casting????
prototypes: rapid prototyping, sand-casting, ??glue-casting????
2A disposes of the following machine park:
Aluminium: from 220 to 4.500 tons
Zamak: from 4 to 320 tons
2A is currently melting 5 different types of Aluminium alloys in order to fulfil the requests of its Customers (standard, aesthetic, welding, high resistance and high elongation applications)
2A Divisione F2A is aiming to follow the globalisation launched from the "2A" group and is starting from the development of foundries in two "Low Cost Countries", one of which is located in China, in order to be able to supply the "Far-East" directly from China
- "2A Divisione F2A" is attached to the "2A group", a "global zipper player"
- "2A group" is a group producing and selling in different continents zippers and machinery for the production of zippers: Europe (Italy and Romany), Asia (China, South Korea, Vietnam), Africa (Tunisia), North America (Mexico)
Facilities / locations
2A head quarters are located in Turin (Italy) and are covering 6 plants.
2A has also different production locations (alone or in JV), such as: China for zink parts, Brasil for machined parts, India for metal-rubber mountings.
2A is opening a new plant in Russia (with medium size machines) in order to deliver mainly the local market.
2A is certified ISO 14001 since 2002 and strongly believes that the respect of the environment and of the resources employed is one of the social duties of a modern company. 2A is certified ISO 9001 since 1995, QS900 since 1999, ISOTS 16949 since 2004.
2A offers the following development competences:
- engineering of the piece, emission of drawings and solid mathematics
- validation of the geometry by FEM and by acoustic modelling
- validation of the project with prototypes: dimension, ??vibrating-bench?? and acoustic tests
2A has developed competences for ??turnkey developments??, becoming a real co-design partner of complete systems
