LVD Strippit has expanded its ToolCell automated tool changing press brake line with the introduction of a larger capacity 220-ton model featuring a bend length configuration of 160” (4080 mm). ToolCell is an hydraulic press brake with integrated tool changer unit that reduces press brake set up time, maximizing throughput and efficiency for small to medium batch production.
REDUCES UNPRODUCTIVE SETUP TIME
ToolCell features an integrated storage of tooling, housed within the machine. Tools are precisely and automatically placed, eliminating manual tooling adjustments. While the operator is preparing parts for the next job, the machine automatically unloads the previous tool setup and loads the next setup.
The new ToolCell 220/40 model holds up to two complete lengths of self-seating top tooling (punches) and five complete lengths of bottom tooling (Vee dies). The tooling stadium can be equipped with a flexible tooling configuration to suit specific application requirements.
REAL TIME ANGLE CONTROL
ToolCell uses state-of-the-art hydraulics and electronics and is built on a rigid frame design to ensure accuracy.
ToolCell features LVD’s patented Easy-Form® Laser in process angle monitoring and correction technology, ensuring consistency from the first to the last part. Easy-Form Laser uses measurement at the front and back of the die to determine the exact value of the angle of the workpiece. The sensing devices transmit information in real time to the CNC control unit, which processes it and subsequently recalculates the correct depth adjustment in process to obtain the correct angle. The bending process is not interrupted, and no production time is lost.
INTUITIVE TOUCH SCREEN CONTROL
ToolCell is equipped with LVD’s latest generation 19” touch screen control, Touch-B.
Touch-B features intuitive graphical icons used to control all parameters of the machine, ensuring fast and efficient operation. ToolCell can also be programmed offline using LVD’s CADMAN®-B Tool Changer module.
ToolCell is offered with various configurable machine options, including stroke, open height front supports and sheet following units. |
